I'm thinking about buying two more for my other phones. I don't take any calls that won't identify themselves. If caller ID says Private, Unknown, etc. I just push the button that gives the message...."We don't take these type of calls, please remove our telephone number from your list." You do have to check the caller ID when the phone rings but a small price to pay to just zap it. I highly recommend it. We were getting so many robo and telemarketer calls and this really helps.

I purchased this for my mother who just hates getting those annoying telemarketer calls(don't we all?) and though it might seem outdated or old-fashioned, it's one of the greatest anti-telemarketer inventions EVER! Even if you're on the do not call list, companies use the do not call list to call people. They just don't give out their information so you can't file a complaint. Even caller ID is blocked on most telemarketers, so you don't know who is calling until it's too late.
I purchased this item a few years ago, and to this day, it still works great! It's so simple, yet worth the price in everyway!

This sort-of does what it says, in that it will play the recorded "Stop-calling- me-you-jerk!" message. The catch is, you have to monitor calls and manually push the button to activate the message when your caller ID tells you that the incoming call is from a number that you know - or suspect - to be a telemarketer, slimeball bill collector or other undesirable. For around $10 including shipping, it's worth it sometimes just to not have to actually answer the phone or let the unwanted calls ring through to clutter up your voicemail.

The good news is that this device worked as advertised. It does play a nice "go away" message to people on the other end of the telephone. The issue (at least for me) was that it didn't stop the telemarketers one bit. I ended up just putting my phone on 5 rings before answering machine starts to answer, and only answered phone calls from my family, and that worked a *lot* better.

I bought one, just to try it. I loved it so much, I bought 4 more for my house and relatives. I's as EASY as it says in the review above. I recomend it for anyone who hates annoying telemarketing calls. Just PERFECT.
